Rights policy
The gate refuses by default. Four grants can open it, and each is verified by running a check — not by ticking a box.
| Grant | What you supply | What we actually verify |
|---|---|---|
| owned | A file you uploaded, a channel verification token we issue, or an OAuth connection to your own channel. | The file resolves inside your own storage root; or the token is fetched from your live channel page and must be found there; or the OAuth token file exists with the right permissions. A missing token is a refusal. |
| program_brief | The programme, the campaign/brief ID, the stored brief text, the per-1,000-view rate, the end date. | The programme is in our registry, the brief text is stored and hashed (the brief is the licence), the rate is present, and the end date has not passed. A lapsed campaign is a refusal. |
| licence_file | The signed licence document, licensor, licensee, signature date, scope, expiry. | The document exists, is non-empty, is hashed against the job, and has not expired. |
| open_licence | The licence (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, public domain), the URL that states it, and the attribution line. | The licence page is fetched and must contain the licence identifier. For attribution licences an empty credit line is a refusal. |
What we will not do
- Clip a video because it is popular and the rights holder probably will not notice.
- Treat "everyone does it" as permission. That is enforcement lag and claim risk, not a licence.
- Tell you a length, a crop, a caption or a "30% change" makes a clip fair use in advance. No such rule exists.
- Push the liability onto you and keep the fee.
Scope is exact
A grant covers the specific sources it names. It does not spread to other videos on the same channel, and it never matches on a title or a name.
Counter-notice and takedown
If you are a rights holder and something we produced should not exist, write to legal@eliteaiempire.com. Every clip job stores the grant that authorised it, so we can tell you exactly what was relied on and remove it.
